International Day of Social Pedagogue
Modern dynamically developing society greatly influences the people around them, their views and principles. A healthy society is a matter of concern for the state and every person. The most important link in the creation of such a society is the formation of ethical principles and life attitudes among the younger generation.A social pedagogue is engaged in the implementation of this important matter. Who is a social pedagogue? It is an intermediary between adults and children. A social pedagogue serves as a mentor and defender of the rights of the child. A social teacher works in schools, orphanages, boarding schools, rehabilitation centers and social services. One of the most relevant areas of his work is the social and pedagogical support of children and their parents. The daily tasks of a social pedagogue include working with troubled adolescents, children from disadvantaged families, children in difficult life situations... The main principle of a social pedagogue's work is education in the context of socialization.To work as a social pedagogue, it is necessary, in addition to special higher education, to have a vocation, patience and desire to work with different categories of children, to be able to adapt to each child, understand his inner world, find a problem and work out ways to overcome it.On October 2, 2023, teaching staff and students of OP 6B01801 "Social Pedagogy and Self-knowledge" and 6B01802 "Social Pedagogy" met to recall the peculiarities of the work of a social pedagogue and celebrate the 15th anniversary of the International Day of Social Pedagogue. The teaching staff of the Department of Special and Social Pedagogy congratulates its students-social educators on their professional holiday and wishes that all your projects and ideas find application in reality. So that you will always be a shining example of peace and harmony. So that your students show the results that you were trying to get. May your hard work and diligence make this world a better and kinder place.
