Hackathon 2025 "Universities of Kazakhstan – Drivers of the Country's Development"

In the context of rapid changes in the global economy and technology, universities play a key role as drivers of the sustainable development of regions and the country as a whole. In this regard, we must regularly replenish our knowledge and improve the skills of organizing university work. A good case in this direction was the Republican Hackathon-2025, in which a team of experts from Kozybayev University participated, along with colleagues from other higher education institutions of the country and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This platform provided an opportunity to develop, test, and strengthen their strategies within the framework of the simulation game "FuturEdu Strategy Simulation," developed by the Moscow School of Management "Skolkovo." For three days, participants underwent training and developed strategies for the development of virtual universities, making management decisions and analyzing their consequences in a game format.

This approach allowed us to practice managerial skills in conditions as close as possible to reality. With a given budget, the task was to modernize the work of the university as efficiently as possible. Projects for the transformation of their universities were also presented. In total, 23 teams participated, from which 2 leagues were formed. It is gratifying that in their league, the Kozybayev University team took 3rd place!
