A Kazakhstani delegation, led by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, visited Baku on an official trip. The delegation included Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek and representatives from 22 universities across the country, including Kozybayev University. The established friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan at the highest levels allow for negotiations and the creation of long-term cooperation plans with Azerbaijani universities.
An important step in the development of academic partnerships was participation in the international roundtable "Expanding Cooperation in Higher Education between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan," attended by Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek and Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev. Key issues of bilateral cooperation in higher education, the implementation of joint programs, and research projects were discussed.
Thanks to the agreement signed between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan and the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of Azerbaijan regarding the joint list of scientific publications:
For Kozybayev University, a new stage was marked by the signing of a memorandum with Baku Engineering University (BMU). This university is one of the leading institutions in Azerbaijan in the field of technical education. The agreement includes the development of cooperation in higher and postgraduate education, scientific research collaboration, and faculty, student, and staff exchanges. It also involves sharing information on innovative teaching methods, joint scientific projects, organizing symposiums, conferences, and courses, implementing partnership educational programs, and conducting familiarization trips.
The team from Kozybayev University visited Baku Engineering University the day before. During the meeting with the university’s leadership, Rector Yagub Piriev emphasized the centuries-old traditional friendship and brotherhood between our countries, as well as the development of political, economic, and cultural ties under the leadership of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. The negotiations were held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. The Chairman of the Board and Rector, Erbol Isakaev, provided a detailed overview of the main directions of student training and scientific potential at Kozybayev University, expressing great interest in cooperation. Potential joint projects were also discussed. Afterwards, they visited the new classrooms and the modern Techno Center at BMU.
