A Job Fair for graduates of medical programs was held at the university. More than 20 healthcare institutions participated in the event. However, this was not just a meeting with potential employers. It served as a platform that opens doors to professional opportunities for young specialists, introduces them to the requirements and working conditions, and provides a chance to establish important business connections. It is worth noting that the university began training specialists in medical fields in 2018. Today, 350 students and interns are studying in these programs. This year, 60 future general practitioners and 4 pharmacists will graduate.
The Chairman of the Board – Rector Erbol Isakaev expressed gratitude to all the partners and participants of the job fair and shared plans for the further development of the Faculty of Medicine. "We have started working on creating a full-fledged Simulation Center. The necessary funds have already been allocated in the university's budget. We are beginning a qualification improvement program for doctors. Currently, 70 emergency medical doctors are attending courses with us. We also plan to open master's degree programs. There is a demand for them. Another piece of news: a decision has been made to open a dual degree program in medicine with the University of Arizona," said the rector.
On this day, a memorandum of cooperation was also signed with the Health Department of the North Kazakhstan region. The document is aimed at developing partnerships, mutual participation in the development and management of educational programs in the "Healthcare" field (bachelor's, master's, residency), taking into account the region's need for highly qualified medical personnel, graduate employment, and the organization of professional internships for students.
"Training personnel for the healthcare system is the foundation of the country's life support. The opening of medical specialties at the university is an additional opportunity for the further development of the healthcare sector in the region. Currently, the university has a well-established system of continuous medical education that allows for the training of high-class specialists," noted the Head of the Health Department of the North Kazakhstan region, Qanysh Bizhanov.
