A round table "Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Fascism" was held for the 80th anniversary of the VictoryThe purpose of the round table was to raise awareness among 1st year students about the significance of Victory Day, its role in history and modernity, as well as strengthening patriotic feelings among young people. The leaders of the round table tried to emphasize the importance of preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War and Victory Day. They told students about the significance of May 9 as a holiday of victory over fascism. Historical events related to the beginning and end of the war, the importance of Victory Day for the international community were highlighted in detail. In their words, they stressed that May 9 is the day of courage, perseverance and unity, the day of the victory of good over evil. Students told poems, sang songs of the war years, honored the memory of the soldiers who fell for their homeland with a minute of silence. During the open discussion, students shared their thoughts on the significance of Victory Day in their lives, as well as the importance of preserving historical memory in modern times. Teachers and students discussed how Victory Day can be provided to young people to make it meaningful and understandable for each generation. At the end of the round table, the students went to the Eternal Flame and laid flowers to the heroes of the Second World War. The round table held for Victory Day was an important event that allowed 1 year students to learn more about the history of the Second World War. The event contributed to the development of the importance of preserving the memory of the people's feat against the fascist invaders.
