VISIT OF MAZHILIS DEPUTY OF THE PARLIAMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN ANAS BAKKOZHAYEV

As part of a working visit to the North Kazakhstan region, Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Anas Bakkozhaev visited Non-profit limited company "Manash Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University". He familiarized himself with the activities of the joint Kazakhstan–China laboratories in plant biotechnology, animal husbandry, and crop production. In the feed quality analysis laboratory, the guest was shown how moisture, fat, protein, and other parameters of grain and oilseed crops are determined. The university also has a milk quality analyzer, liquid and gas chromatographs. This equipment makes it possible to determine the quality of agricultural products, water, pesticides, and other plant protection products.

In the plant biotechnology laboratory, whose equipment was provided by Chinese partners, scientists are engaged in developing healthy varieties resistant to the conditions of the North Kazakhstan region.

As noted by Anas Bakkozhaev, this is highly relevant equipment for the region, where the agricultural sector traditionally occupies one of the leading positions.

The guest was also shown the medical laboratories. An emergency ambulance simulator, modern simulation mannequins, and IT programs help students practice their professional skills. This equipment also makes it possible to train and improve the qualifications of practicing medical professionals. This year, 70 emergency doctors completed such training.

In addition, Anas Bakkozhaev was shown the laboratory of robotic systems in mechanical engineering, where future engineers acquire mechanical engineering and robotics skills. All this, together with elements of dual education, already after the third year of study helps students cooperate with regional enterprises for subsequent employment.

At the exhibition of the university’s scientific projects, the Mazhilis deputy became acquainted with the main research areas of the university’s scientists. The scientific projects are focused on the key needs of the region and the country: agriculture, water resources, sulfur polymerization, the search for IT solutions, and others. In addition, the university has reoriented the topics of diploma projects using artificial intelligence and taking into account regional needs.
