University and Agribusiness: New Areas of Practice-Oriented Cooperation
As part of a working visit, Chairman of the Executive Board - Rector Yerbol Issakayev and representatives of the Faculty of Agrotechnology visited the Gabit Musrepov District.
The first site visited was the Novoishimsky Feed Mill, a modern feed-processing enterprise that plays a key role in developing the region’s feed base.
The plant specializes in deep processing of grain raw materials and produces up to 2,500 tons of feed flour per day. This year, the enterprise launched a new line of activity – “Contract Feed Production,” which makes it possible to develop and manufacture high-performance feed rations based on individual farm formulations and supply them to dairy and beef farms across the region.
The second site visited was Budyonnoye LLP, a modern dairy farm focused on the development of high-productivity livestock farming. To date, the first batch of pedigree cattle has already been delivered to the farm, and additional shipments are expected, allowing the enterprise to gradually reach its projected capacity. During the visit, participants thoroughly reviewed animal housing and feeding technologies, the organization of production processes, and veterinary support issues.
Following the visit, the parties reached a mutual understanding on expanding practice-oriented cooperation. They agreed to organize industrial internships for students, involve enterprises in the educational process, and collaborate within a consortium of organizations in priority areas of agricultural science. A separate outcome of the meeting was an agreement to jointly develop a roadmap for key areas of cooperation - from feed quality assessment and ration optimization to scientific support of livestock projects.
