As part of the activities of the Kozybayev Alumni Association, a meeting was held at the Faculty of History, Economics, and Law, which became a significant platform for bringing together alumni from different generations. The event confirmed that maintaining a connection with one's alma mater is not only a nostalgic reminder of one's student years but also a valuable contribution to the development of future professionals.
The meeting was attended by successful graduates of the faculty, who are currently pursuing their careers in various professional fields. Among the invited guests were Karina Aslanovna Sarbayeva, SMM Manager at Qazaqstan Media, a mobile app developer, and SMM specialist; Amerzhan Asylkhan, Head of the Petropavlovsk Retail Sales Department at ForteBank JSC; Vladimir Andreevich Busygin, Director of the VladimirTour travel agency; and Yulia Borisovna Maksaimer, Head of the Advance accounting firm.kz; and also Baev Alexander Valentinovich, a senior lecturer at the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Law, Candidate of Philosophy.
The meeting was attended by students from the following educational programs: 6B04108 «Business and Management (US)», 6B04104 «Finance», 6B04105 «Accounting and Auditing», 6B11102 «Tourism», 6B01601 «History», and 6B03201 «Journalism».
The audience was particularly interested in the speech by Amerzhan Asylkhan, who spoke in detail about his professional development, from his first steps in the banking industry to his current position as a manager. The speaker shared practical examples of using modern information systems in banking, emphasizing the importance of digital solutions in sales management, customer database analysis, and improving business processes.
During the open dialogue, students had the opportunity to ask questions about career paths, employer requirements, and the development of soft skills and professional competencies. The graduates emphasized that the fundamental knowledge acquired at the faculty has become a solid foundation for their professional growth.
Such meetings strengthen the partnership between the university and its graduates, create a community of like-minded individuals, and provide new opportunities for internships, mentorship, and professional guidance for students.
