Head: Beletskaya N.P., Candidate of Geographical Sciences
Agreements on joint scientific and practical activities to increase the yield of grain crops were signed with "Bolshemalyshenskoe" LLP, Berezka-Agro LLP, and Astrakhan LLP.
Research on the theme of the project “Fertilizers based on Ekibastuz coal ash” was carried out for the first time. Trial analyzes of the material composition of the Ekibastuz coal ash burned at JSC Petropavlovskaya CHPP-2 indicate that it is highly likely to be used as fertilizer. An amazing feature of ash was found, namely the content of 6-7% humus. The indices of the content of a number of heavy metals and other toxic elements fall within the range of their contents in the chernozem soils of the North Kazakhstan oblast. Dosimetric monitoring did not reveal excess of permissible standards for radiation levels of ash and ash dumps of the PTETs.
The data provided by the Regional Experimental Agricultural Station on the efficiency of use of ash on wheat yield amounted to 0.9c / ha. If the yield is increased by 0.9 centner / ha, the additional grain volume from an area of 500 ha will be equal to 450 centner. With a sales price of $ 120 per ton, the economic effect will be $ 10.8 / ha.
